Perspective Needed, Yet Again
Waking up to truth this morning
For the past three-and-a-half months, I have just been tearing myself up trying to figure out what I’m even doing writing ANYTHING.
And today I read an article about Kathryn Stockett’s new book, The Calamity Club, due out on May 5 of this year.
And the article pointed out that it has been SEVENTEEN YEARS since her first book, The Help, was published.
The interview touched on her life since that book hit ALL the lists, got a movie made, etc., etc. She has been writing. And trying to write. And dealing with a divorce. And spent two years living in Bali. And buying and renovating a house in Mississippi. In this interview, Stockett said she was fired by her publisher at one point.
I’m going to do my best to remember reading this article. And to have grace for myself. And do what’s within my power and not obsess over what’s not.

Daaaang! That sounds like a fantastic article
